Soledad esquina a San Lázaro
An interesting and typical example of the Streamline movement which preferred rounded corners and a sensation of motion can be seen in this building built in 1944. The recovery of simple forms and the alternation of flat and curved surfaces free this edifice, which is perfectly adapted to the trapezoidal shape of the terrain, from certain rigidity so common to Art Deco, lending a daring modernity to it, perhaps somewhat incongruous with the urban environment.
