Romerías de Mayo

As every year, the city of Holguín is getting ready to receive hundreds of creators from every manifestation of the arts. In its 20th edition, 200 artists from 25 countries have confirmed their participation, as well as a similar number of Cuban artists, such as David Blanco, X Alfonso, Moneda Dura, Obsesión (who will launch their album Disco negro, prizewinner at Cubadisco 2012), Causa Justa (with their album Kminos, also a prize-winner at Cubadisco 2012 and the Cuerda Viva Festival), Onda Livre, Las Positivas, Buena Fe, DJs Iván Lejardi and Eddy GT,  Danza Teatro Retazos, Danza Abierta, Ballet Lizt Alfonso and Mirón Cubano Theatre Company, just to name a few. The popular celebration, which links tradition and modernity, will be characterized, as always, by its broad spectrum, bringing together writers, singers, rockers, rappers, folk groups, visual artists, actors and dancers who join Holguineros in a marathon-like program in various parts of the city
