Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro
  • The original lighthouse at the Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro was erected on the Morrillo Semibastion and was fueled by wood until the 17th century, then by gas until the 19th century and finally by oil. The lighthouse was later demolished and a new one was built by the Real Cuerpo de Ingenieros in 1844. It received the name of O’Donnell Lighthouse and was electrified in 1945. Now a symbol of Havana, it offers one of the most beautiful views of the city, especially at sunset.
