Cuba Absolutely Review: December 2011
This is a reasonably good quality state run restaurant set in a 1960s redbrick exterior which belies a 17th-century Tudor mansion replica with lederhosen-clad waiters The restaurant opened in 1966 and its style was an idea of Fidel‘s powerful personal secretary Celia Sánchez. It specializes in rabbit (hence the name). We recommend the mushroom Conejo a la Financiera (CUC 8). If the rabbit doesn’t grab you, try the chicken, beef, fish or lobster. The rather surreal ambience is lightened somewhat by a resident pianist serenading romantically in the background.
