The Bodegón Onda is located within the Comendador Hotel, which slightly confusingly is next to the more visible Hostal Valencia (one of our favourite places to stay in Havana). This is a delightful, if low-key place offering a choice of typical Spanish tapas in a building that has been sensitively restored with its original roof wood beams to be the quintessential rustic tavern.
This is a great place for a pit stop and while not really a destination restaurant is a great way to break up the heat of the day since it always stays cool under all of the heavy brickwork.
