Cuba Absolutely Review: December 2011
I once ate in Don Cangrejo years ago. This is a state-run seafood restaurant with a lovely view over the ocean. Fresh fish dishes include red snapper, grouper and prawns, CUC 8-12, while lobster plucked from the pit on the terrace comes in at CUC 20-25. Unfortunately, it suffers from the disease of many state places: the service tends to be somewhat dry, the atmosphere a little sterile and the food unexciting. Maybe it has got better and bear in mind that this is the location (out the back) of Friday night’s coolest party so maybe it’s worth checking out if you are in the area.
