Teatro Nacional de Cuba, Avenida Paseo, esquina 39, Plaza de la Revolución
(+53)7878 - 4275
Open 10pm-6am daily

  • This is the place to go at 2-3am when everywhere else is closed, although be warned that the queues can be long, hectic and the doormen decidedly dodgy! There is a varied program, which includes mainly smaller salsa bands. Beware of the karaoke. This is a happening place but make sure that you have had a few drinks before you arrive. If you ever make it during day light hours you will be able to appreciate the minimalist décor and great view over the Plaza de la Revolución.
Friday’s at 5pm also sees La Sesión at Delirio Habanero which is Cuban rap’s newest spot for lovers of this music genre, although La Sesión is not only about rap. Guests include the best DJs in Havana, singers and musicians from other genres, visual artists and actors from the stage. Shows are hosted by the Cuban actress Edenis Sanchez and rapper Bárbaro “El urbano” Vargas.

This really is the place to go if you want to see the very best Cuban salsa bands. The Galiano venue quickly gained a reputation as the best venue for salsa after its opening in 2003. There is much mo …

    Escaleras al Cielo

    Escaleras al Cielo  LH 4

Recently opened (early 2011) this is the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ nightclub. This is not going to be easy to find for anyone first time round but then perhaps Heaven shouldn’t be too easy to get into. Jus …

Oratorio de San Felipe Neri  LH 4+

The opening of this concert hall is a result of the architectural work being carried out in La Habana Vieja. Originally a church built in 1693; it was acquired two centuries later by a bank and remain …

    Las Piedras Bar

    Las Piedras Bar  LH 4

Las Piedras definitely has a niche as the after party venue of choice. This would though be limiting its appeal since although yes it does have great musicians (last week Francis del Rio) who start to …

    El Templete

    El Templete  LH 4

El Templete Bar & Restaurant derives its name from its proximity (less than 50 meters) to a monument, which, erected in 1828, evokes the founding of the city of Havana in 1519. The bar is a pleasa …

    Café Cantante Mi Habana

Café Cantante Mi Habana  LH 4

What Café Cantante lacks in comfort and service (especially from the doormen) it more than makes up for in the quality of the artists which play there and the busy atmosphere. Afternoon shows feature …

    Café Jazz Miramar

    Café Jazz Miramar  LH 5-

This new jazz club has quickly established itself as one of the very best places to hear some of Cuba’s best musicians jamming. Forget about smoke filled lounges, this is clean, bright – take the fags …

    El Mesón de la Flota

El Mesón de la Flota  LH 4

The Meson de la Flota is the quintessential tavern. Relatively dark inside and with a great flamenco band, which is basically headquartered here, this makes for a good intimate atmosphere. You do need …

    Parisién Cabaret

    Parisién Cabaret  LH 4

The Parisién is located within the Hotel Nacional and benefits from the same rich history. The show is on a much smaller scale than the Tropicana with much fewer dancers, which makes it more intimate …

    La Campana

    La Campana  LH 4+

Chill out bar and grill, La Campana seems at first glance more an upmarket homestead finca (farm) than anything else. This is an upmarket ranchón beside a nice pool. The tables are comfortable and wel …
