Constructed on piles–a solution that is essentially in the style of Le Corbusier, which apart from transmitting a sort of lightness to the building, makes the corner lose its traditional compactness; the large projections on both sides; and the marked separation between its functional components (restaurant and cafeteria on the ground and first levels, and single and duplex apartments on the remaining floors) gave this building of modest proportions, if compared with other contemporary construction, an intrepid modernity, which has been spoiled due to successive modifications. This is an example of how the modern touch took over not only of skyscrapers and spectacular mansions but of an unpretentious building that was conceived by a true artist.
