A new club on the water featuring traditional Cuban music and cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood. Named after musician Compay Segundo,"Chan Chan" to his amigos. Great for a relaxing night of cheek-to-cheek dancing alongside the yachts. Operated by Cubanacan Grupo. Open until 3am.

Occupying the former shell of the prerevolutionary Le Vendome French restaurant since June 1998, Imagenes provides a cozy, air conditioned venue for dealmaking and social conversation. It features comfortable seating groups, soft lighting, a tapas menu and piano music by the borrowed maestro of the local symphony, Mario Romeu. Most drinks are $3, including traditionals like daiquiris and mojitos. There are seven champagnes and sparking wines, priced between $25 and $150 a bottle, and the rare 15-year Havana Club at $12 a shot. Featured tapas dishes include calamari, shrimp, vegetables in creole sauce, ham horns and asparagus salad. (1/98)

Club JazzClub Jazz
Boulevards Recommends Since opening in 1997, Club Jazz has served up world class music in an intimate underground (literally) club setting. There are nice touches, like Spanish olives served in a martini glass with paper wrapped toothpicks, but the real attraction is the jam sessions by some of Cuba’s greatest musicians, night after night, with an occasional drop-in from a visiting musician like George Benson.

This Hard Rock Café knock-off is where you might spot Matt Dillon sucking Cohiba Esplendidos with Naomi Campbell.

A large outdoors club featuring big name salsa stars, big bands and dance performances. Great sound system. Lively, attractive, well-mixed crowd. Expect a cover of around $15, depending on the act.

On the top floor of a high-rise hotel overlooking central Vedado, high heeled Cuban ladies impress foreign tourists with their salsa and disco moves. Decor is 1970s disco. Cover's usually $15.
