This is Cuba's first golf course, but it will certainly not be its last as tourism and Western leisure gradually gain acceptance into the Cuba national framework. Varadero is a four-star facility just 120 kilometers from downtown Havana. The course opened in 1998 and features state-of-the-art-design, including saltwater lakes that connect directly to the ocean. This Havana golf course is extremely tourist-friendly and has already played host to several European PGA Tour challenge events.
